Flipz.nl cares a great deal about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (the improvement of) our services and for commercial purposes. We treat the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care.
About Data Processing
Below you can read how we process your data, where we store it (or have it stored), what security techniques we use and to whom the data is accessible.
Depending on the orders and website visits, we may process the following personal data from you:
– E-mail address
– Name and surname
– Telephone number
– Address and residence
– Information that you enter yourself in an open field, such as a wish, or a message in the contact form
– Questions you ask us and/or reports you pass on to us.
Backup of (personal) data
We make backups of our ICT system so that we can restore them in the event of a security incident. We are also obliged to properly secure your personal data and to be able to restore it.
We learn from security incidents at other organizations and realize that despite our efforts, such a situation can also happen to us. If there is a security indication or if an ICT system crashes, we will recover our data, including your personal data. We will then review all requests to delete personal data and ensure that we are not recovering personal data that we are not authorized to
possess. We make the following backups:
– Daily backups of the website (My Domain) which we keep for a maximum of 30 days
– Monthly backups on external hard drive which we will keep for a maximum of 1 year
Provision to third parties
We pass on the information you provide to third parties if this is necessary for the delivery of the products you ordered or for our own commercial purposes (Facebook and Google advertising). For example, we use a third party to process iDeal payments in our shop and we give your details to the postman to deliver the order to you.
Furthermore, we will also provide the data you provided to other (government) parties if this is legally required.
For example, it is possible that the police in the context of fraud investigation data from us. In that case we are legally obliged to hand over your data. It is also possible that one of our sales outlets will take care of your order for us, in which case it will be necessary to send your order to you.
Web shop software
We purchase web hosting and email services from MijnDomein. MijnDomein processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. MijnDomein has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. MijnDomein is bound to secrecy under the terms of the agreement.
We use the services of MijnDomein for our regular business e-mail traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent abuse, loss and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. MijnDomein has no access to our mailbox and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.
For handling (part of) the payments in our store, we use the platform of Mollie. Mollie processes your name, address and place of residence data and your payment information such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and in this context to share (anonymized) data with third parties. All of the above guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of Mollie’s services for which it engages third parties. Mollie will not retain your data any longer than permitted by law.
We collect reviews through the platform of WebwinkelKeur. If you leave a review through WebwinkelKeur you are required to provide a name and email address. WebwinkelKeur shares this information with us so we can link the review to your order. WebwinkelKeur also publishes your name on their own website. In some cases WebwinkelKeur may contact you to explain your review. In the event that we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address with WebwinkelKeur. They use this information only for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. WebwinkelKeur has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. WebwinkelKeur reserves the right to use third parties for the provision of services, for this we have given permission to WebwinkelKeur. All the above guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of the service for which WebwinkelKeur engages third parties.
Shipping and Logistics
When you place an order with us, it is our job to get your package delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL to perform the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and residence data with PostNL. PostNL will only use this data for the performance of the agreement. If PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your data available to these parties.
For tracking our orders, we use the services of Woocommerce. We share your name, address and city information and details regarding your order. This data is used to administer sales invoices. Your personal data is stored. Woocommerce is bound to secrecy and will treat your data confidentially. Woocommerce will not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.
Invoicing and administration
We use the services of Reeleezee to keep our records and accounts. We do not share your name, address and city information or details regarding your order. The purchase price and the product is however shared with Reeleezee.
External sales channels
We sell (part of) our products through the platform of Bol.com. If you place an order through this platform Bol.com shares your order and personal data with us. We use this information to process your order. We will treat your data confidentially and have appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from loss and unauthorized use.
Purpose of data processing
We process your personal data for one or more of the following purposes (depending on which functionalities you use):
– To offer you the possibility to order items through our website and make use of all our functionalities and (delivery) services.
– To process your order and to inform you about the progress.
– To contact you about a possible complaint because we want to investigate this.
– To find out which topics/interests consumers have in order to determine which products we will test or check.
– To communicate with you by means of sending email and/or postal mail.
– To provide you with personalized advertising and content (see also the paragraph Profiling and Cookies).
– To process your data for possible participation in promotions.
– To answer your questions or process your complaints via social media, email, post or telephone.
– To improve our websites.
Automatically Collected Data
Data that is automatically collected by our website is processed with the aim of further improving our services. These data (e.g. your IP address, web browser and operating system) are not personal data.
Cooperation with fiscal and criminal investigations
In appropriate cases, Flipz.nl may be obliged by a legal obligation to share your data in connection with governmental fiscal or criminal investigations. In such a case, we will be obliged to share your data, but we will oppose this within the possibilities offered by the law.
We will retain your data for as long as you are a client of ours. This means that we will keep your client profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also interpret this as a request to forget. Pursuant to applicable administrative obligations, we must retain invoices containing your (personal) data; we will therefore retain this data for as long as the applicable term lasts. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced as a result of your instructions.
Under applicable Dutch and European legislation, you as a data subject have certain rights with respect to the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. Below we explain what these rights are and how you can exercise them. In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send copies and copies of your data to your e-mail address already known to us. In the event that you wish to receive the data at another e-mail address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep a record of completed requests; in the case of a forgetful request, we administer anonymized data. You will receive all copies and data in the machine-readable data format that we use within our systems. You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) and that relate to your person or can be traced back to that person, corrected. You can make a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation at the e-mail address we have on record that the data have been modified.
Right to restriction of processing
You always have the right to restrict the data we process (or have processed) that relate to or are traceable to you. You can make a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation at the e-mail address we have on record that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
Right to Transferability
You always have the right to have the data we process, or have processed, which relate to or can be traced back to your person, carried out by another party. You can make a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies or copies of all the data about you that we have processed or that has been processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties at the email address we have on record. In all likelihood, we will not be able to continue providing services in such a case, as the secure interconnection of data files can then no longer be guaranteed.
Right to object and other rights
Profiling and cookies
We combine your personal data from different sources (such as the data of your purchases in our webshop or via facebook/instagram) to provide you with the best experience.
By combining your data, we can make you personalized offers (e.g. new collections or newsletters) that match your interests. This prevents you from receiving content or offers that are less interesting to you. On the basis of this profiling, we make selections at group level. However, we will never exclude you from one of our products on this basis.
Third party cookies
Through our website, cookies are placed by the American company Google, as part of the “Analytics” service. We use this service to track and get reports about how visitors use the website. This processor may be obliged under applicable laws and regulations to provide access to these data. We collect information about your surfing behaviour and share this data with Google. Google can interpret this information in conjunction with other data sets and thus track your movements on the Internet. Google uses this information to serve you targeted ads (Adwords) and other Google services and products.
Securing and storing
We take appropriate security measures to limit misuse of and unauthorized access to your personal data. We have an information security policy for this. For example, we ensure that only the necessary people have access to the data, that access to the data is shielded and that our security measures.
We do not keep data longer than necessary. We apply a standard retention period of 2 years. This means that we will delete your data 2 years after you have been active. If a different retention period applies, we will inform you of this. Exceptions to this are the data that we must retain for longer because the law requires us to, such as data for the tax authorities.
Third Party Websites
This statement does not apply to third party websites that are linked to our website. We cannot guarantee that these websites will handle your personal data in a reliable or safe manner.
